Abstract

This study analyzes the competitiveness of Education in Costa Rica within a globalized context. Education policies of last decades and the ability to prepare students for an increasingly competitive global economy are examined. The challenges of globalization are discussed as well as the importance of adapting education to changing demands. The need to integrate technology in education and promote inclusion and equity is also pointed out. The text concludes with recommendations to improve Costa Rican education in the globalized context.
