Multifaceted artist dedicated exclusively to musical, pictorial and literary creation. Share this activity with that of an accompanying pianist of singers and instrumentalists. Licentia Docendi and member of the Corporation of Teachers of the College of Plastic Arts, is a member of the Academic Council in Music, Professor at UACA, professor of piano, composition and musical science at the Conservatory of Castella, at the Municipal School of Music of La Unión, Tres Ríos, and Director of the Private Study of Artistic Education "H-61" (Apartado Postal 470-1000, San José - Costa Rica-Central America). Abstract

He completed his primary school studies in his hometown; in 1836 he studied at the music school run by Don Damián Dávila, his political uncle. From an early age he defined his vocation: he was 13 years old when he was already part of the Heredia Military Band.
