Abstract

This paper integrates norms and principles of Administrative Law within the broader vision of "Constitutional Law of Municipal Government". Its main thread are the constitutional and legal principles and norms that govern the system of checks and balances of the Municipal Power, within which the jurisprudence of our courts and the work of illustrious Costa Rican administrative officials gain light. It is a proposal that seeks to broaden the understanding of the complex phenomenon of the Municipal Government in its arduous task of generating quality of life and sustainable development for the citizens.
