Leadership in the face of new philosophical-pedagogical paradigms

Abstract

The true leader encourages the change of "paradigm" in those who are prepared for it. Even at first there may be little support from the group in the face of his new proposals, but if the leader is able to motivate his followers so intensely that they transform his attitude and awaken his conscience, his work achieves success.

Leaders are the ones who introduce paradigm shifts from new perspectives. The term "paradigm shift" was introduced by Thomas Kuhn in his book The Structure of Scientific Revolutions, published in 1962. It is noted here that paradigms are revolutions and big leaps in the way we understand things, from fire, wheel, language, writing, heliocentric theory, printing, computer science, etc. However, new visions are invariably stumbled upon with a stubborn resistance to their acceptance for a certain time.
